Blake Lively’s Minimalist Look Is All About Her Beaded Fendi Baguette

Blake Lively has been largely absent from the public scene during her ongoing legal dispute with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni — which made her appearance at Fendi's New York City flagship this week feel like a genuine event. The house was celebrating the launch of the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition collection, a retrospective-meets-forward-looking revival of its iconic bag, and the guest list read accordingly: Olivia Wilde, Ayra Starr, Ivy Getty, and Esther McGregor all turned out for the Midtown affair, according to Harper's Bazaar.

The Art of Doing Less

What made Lively's appearance genuinely interesting wasn't the fact of it — it was the outfit. Known for leaning hard into maximalist florals and saturated color, she showed up in something almost shockingly restrained: a black scoop-neck tank tucked into straight-leg, dark-wash high-waisted jeans. Over it, a khaki trench worn off the shoulders — less coat, more gesture, which made total sense given New York was sitting at over 90 degrees. Shiny black pointed-toe slingback pumps grounded the look, and a diamond statement necklace, gold watch, and a cluster of chunky rings kept it from reading too spare.

The real anchor, of course, was the bag. Lively carried a black Baguette from the Re-Edition collection — the version seen on the Fall 2026 runway — decorated with mirror detailing and geometric beading. It's the kind of piece that earns the right to be the loudest thing in the room, so Lively smartly let it be exactly that. Everything else existed to frame it.

She exited the event clutching a bright-yellow Fendi shopping bag, which confirmed what the minimalist outfit already suggested: sometimes the most strategic move is to strip back, so the one thing that matters is impossible to miss.
